Conveying & Accumulation

Grunfeld conveying and accumulation systems provide solutions to manage flow in filling and packing lines, and the result is increased efficiency.

Conveyors: Connect the flow between different machines and processes.

Rotary accumulators: ensure that finished product can exit the line for manual picking and packing operations.

Recirculating accumulator: isolates upstream equipment from stoppages down the line, and supplies downstream equipment when there is a stoppage up the line. It operates in four different states

1. Through feed is the most common state, and occurs when there is no need for accumulation.
2. Accumulation commences when there is a downstream stoppage.
3. Infeed and unloading occur when the downstream flow resumes.
4. Unloading occurs at the end of a production run to clear any remaining accumulated product.

First In Last Out and First In First Out accumulation configurations provide product buffering but also maintain a sequential ordering.
