Why is health and safety so important when using automatic dispense systems?
Workplace heath and safety is a hot topic with many many organisations throughout the world. Every employer who wants to do the best for their employees will have Health and Safety as one of their top priorities. 30.4 million days were lost due to work-related illness and non-fatal workplace injuries in 2015/2016 in the UK alone! That’s a huge amount of days lost, not to mention the other huge costs associated with workplace illness. The HSE Report for 2016 gives further details on the costs involved!
As with any piece of industrial equipment, great care needs to be taken when using automatic dispense systems. High pressures and moving hydraulic parts all pose risk to operators if sufficient care is not taken.
