Lidding and Sealing Systems

Automatic lid application. The three most common types of lid are – Screw lids, Clip lids and Foil lids.

Screw on lids – bulk quantities on lids are automatically sorted, by the sorter elevator and drop down the outfeed chute ready to be pick and placed, and then screwed on to the filled pots.

Press on lids – vertical or horizontal magazine hold the lids, which are picked and placed, and then pressed onto the pots.

Heat applied foil lids – each vertical magazine can typically hold 500 to 800 pre-cut aluminium or PET lids, the sealing head picks a pre-cut lid and applies it to the pot, attaching it by means of induction or conduction.
